SEC Softball Weekly Honors Week 3

SEC Co-Players of the Week – Auburn’s Makayla Packer, a sophomore outfielder from Chattanooga, Tenn., helped the Tigers to a 6-0 week with her .667 batting average. Packer tallied 12 hits (including three doubles and a home run), 10 runs scored, four RBI and four stolen bases on the week.

Missouri’s Casidy Chaumont, a redshirt senior outfielder from Moss Bluff, La., led the Tigers with her .615 batting average at the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic. Chaumont recorded eight hits, six runs scored and three RBI over five games, including wins over No. 9/11 Oregon and No. 5/5 Washington.

SEC Pitcher of the Week – Alabama’s Montana Fouts, a senior right-hander from Grayson, Ky., recorded three wins and one save, 28 strikeouts and a .091 opponent batting average over 17.0 shutout innings. Fouts earned a complete-game win against Southeastern Louisiana, followed by a win in relief against Northwestern State before getting the save against Louisiana Tech in the second game of the day. She then shut out No. 20/20 Louisiana in the weekend finale, fanning seven in the run-rule victory.

SEC Co-Freshmen of the Week – Florida’s Kendra Falby, an outfielder from Odessa, Fla., posted a .476 batting average with 10 hits, seven runs scored, five RBI, six stolen bases, five RBI and three walks. At UCF, Falby registered a season-high four RBI and her second career home run.

Georgia’s Kylie Macy, a right-handed pitcher from Grayson, Ga., pitched the 11th perfect game in Georgia softball history against Bryant, the first perfect game since 2016. Macy struck out 13 of the 15 batters she faced in the five-inning outing.
