It was an interesting weekend of softball in the opening Regionals Round of the 2022 tournament.

For the first time in school history Alabama didn’t make it to the Super Regionals round going down to Stanford. Another Pac12 team Oregon State also beat SEC team Tennessee twice on Sunday to advance to the Super Regionals round.

Another surprise was Mississippi State taking out ACC powerhouse Florida State.

Oklahoma flew through their regional round making it look easy with a run-rule 20-0 victory over Texas A&M in their regional championship game.

How did I do on my predictions for the regional round? I went 10-6 so not too bad considering the number of upsets we had in the round.

I really thought SEC teams, Alabama, Tennessee and Missouri were gonna win their regionals. I also figured Florida State would handle their business with their strong pitching staff.
