Megan Bartlett who has worked under Mike White at Texas as an assistant coach was recently hired as the head coach at Arizona State.
Coach White released the following statement in response to the hiring:
“I’d sincerely like to thank Assistant Coach Megan Bartlett for all her valuable contributions to our success over the past two seasons on the Forty Acres,” White said. “She came to Texas fresh off a head-coaching job at Ball State and immediately played a vital role in 90 combined wins, numerous team single-season records and in our recent run to a program-best national runner-up finish at the WCWS. It’s not every day that a chance comes along to be a head coach at a Division I program like Arizona State, so I’m thrilled that Coach Bartlett is getting this opportunity and have no doubt that she’ll do a great job leading the Sun Devil program.”
