The University of Missouri softball Head Coach Larissa Anderson announced the addition of Texas Tech transfer outfielder Payton Jackson. Jackson has two years of remaining eligibility after spending the last three seasons with the Red Raiders.

“We are excited to welcome Payton into our Tiger family.” Anderson said. “Competing in the Big 12, Payton has the experience and knowledge of what it takes to play at the highest level, but it’s her passion, determination and competitive spirit that engulfs you the moment you meet her. She was born to be a Tiger and we are beyond thrilled to have her finish her career with us.”

The left-handed hitting Jackson led Texas Tech with a .336 batting average while also tallying 11 doubles, three triples and five home runs with 21 RBI in her junior season. During her first season as a regular part of the starting rotation, she started 46 of the Red Raiders’ 49 contests in left and right field.

“I am so excited and grateful for the opportunity to join this amazing program and to compete at the highest level.” Jackson said, “I cannot wait to be a part of this team and this community. Go MIZ!”
