The Penn State softball team has announced its 2022 fall ball schedule, which includes seven games of home competition and one neutral game on six different dates throughout September and October.
It will be a return to the field for the Nittany Lions after a successful spring campaign that saw the team improve upon their win total +25 games to lead NCAA Division I.
The team also reached the 30-win mark for the first time since 2016 and for the 13th time in program history.
The Nittany Lions start the fall season by hosting two teams on Saturday, Sept. 17. PSU will play Saint Francis at 11 a.m. and Bowie State at 4 p.m.
On Sunday, Sept. 25, Penn State welcomes Pitt-Johnstown to Beard Field with first pitch at 1 p.m.
The following month on Oct. 5, East Stroudsburg arrives in University Park for a exhibition slated for 5:30 p.m.
Three days later, two more opponents come to town as the Nittany Lions will face off against Chestnut Hill at 11 a.m. and Wilmington at 4 p.m.
The following week will be the last chance to catch Penn State at home during the fall season as they play Lock Haven at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 12.
The Blue & White close out their fall schedule at a neutral site, facing Maryland in Williamsport, Pa. on Oct. 15 with a start time still to be determined.
Admission to all fall ball games at Beard Field is free.
