Icess Tresvik joins Auburn softball for 2023 seasoning

Auburn softball head coach Mickey Dean announced the addition of Icess Tresvik, a utility player that spent last season at North Carolina A&T, for the 2023 softball season.

During her freshman season with the Aggies, Tresvik led the team in hits, home runs, RBI, slugging percentage and batting average. Combined with her ability to play both infield and outfield, the Wilmington, North Carolina, native is also a threat in the circle.

Tresvik started 44 contests as a true freshman, posting a .323 average behind 40 hits. She added a .589 slugging percentage, recording three doubles and 10 home runs. Tresvik recorded 31 RBI, 22 runs scored and eight stolen bases during her debut season.

She ended her freshman season ranked fourth in the Big South in home runs, sixth in slugging and ninth in RBI. She became the first aggie in 15 years to record at least 10 home runs and 30 RBI in a season.

In the circle, Tresvik made nine appearances with eight starts. In her 35.2 innings of work, Tresvik recorded 52 strikeouts and held opponents to a .226 average the plate. She earned three wins.

She earned Second Team All-Big South Conference and Big South Conference All-Freshman Team honors for her efforts.
